Reel Factory — script to reel, on autopilot
A six-stage pipeline that turns a written script into a finished 1080×1920 reel: a coding agent plans the scenes, an AI avatar speaks every line in the founder's own cloned voice, Remotion composites avatar plus overlays plus word-synced captions plus music — and a Cloudflare Worker, fired by cron and backed by D1 + R2, publishes it to Instagram. One schedule command in the middle. Every module is pluggable — pick the director agent and the avatar engine that fit.
The problem
Quality short-form content costs hours per minute of output. Write the script. Set up the camera. Shoot every line three times. Edit. Add captions. Pick music. Render. For a single founder, that is the difference between weekly reels and silence. Outsourcing trades cash for distance from the brand voice.
A six-stage pipeline that runs itself
- The Director — pluggable across coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, and others. Reads the script, picks scene-by-scene layouts, and emits a single validated JSON document (the EDL) that every downstream stage obeys deterministically.
- The Avatar — pluggable across HeyGen, OmniHuman 1.5, LongCat-Video-Avatar 1.5, and other digital-twin engines. Speaks every word in the founder's own cloned voice; front and side camera angles generated in parallel.
- The Composition — Remotion, a React-based programmatic video stack, stitches avatar, overlays, word-synced captions, and music into the finished 9:16 frame.
- The Brand Skill — palette, typography, and motion templates codified as machine-readable rules. Every reel comes out obviously on-brand.
- The Learning Loop — accept/reject feedback writes to a rules registry; rejection patterns get promoted to active rules the Director obeys on the next run.
- The Publisher — a cron-triggered Cloudflare Worker reads the schedule from D1, calls the Instagram Graph API, and pings Telegram on success or failure. The laptop can be off.
Outcomes
- Time to produce one reel: 4–6 hours of shooting and editing → ~9 minutes unattended
- Cost per reel: a freelance editor → ~$0.40 of API + compute
- Brand consistency: palette, fonts, motion templates, and avatar style locked across every output
- Publishing: serverless — schedule a reel from your phone
Why this exists
Be the writer. Be the director. The crew is automated. Vision is human — the angle, the joke, the strange honest thing only you would say. Reel Factory hires you a crew: you write, you watch the cut, you say what stays. The rest runs without a human in it.
